Key Indicators:
i. engage in ethical, respectful, positive and collaborative professional relationships with:
• ākonga
In the mornings I welcome tamariki and whanau as they enter the class. I assist with children who have trouble saying goodbye to their whanau and have a few specific children that I check in with every morning. During the day these children will often seek me out if they are upset or struggling during the day.

I work in a collaboration with 3 other teachers and have constant discussions about the tamariki with them so that we can constantly be aware of how our students are going.
We are linked with the Kindergarten near us. We will visit them or they visit us once a fortnight where our tamariki are able to play and work together. We also meet with the Kindy team once a term so we can discuss how these visits are going and what we can do to better them.

• whānau and other carers of ākonga
We have held Parents Evenings twice this year giving us to discuss the students progress as well as address any questions or concerns the students whānau had.
Parent Voice:
Oh wow!!!
Thank you for letting me know. I will definitely try to get there and change my meetings but in the case i can't, his Dad and his Aunty should be able to attend.
I have seen a massive improvement in his learning. Thank you so much for your patience with him. Piaoko Tahi teachers have done wonders with him. :) Him receiving an award is a reflection on the wonderful teachers you all are.
Cheers!

• agencies, groups and individuals in the community
In my homeroom I had 3 ESOL students who were given support for 30 minutes a day as a group. I would discuss their progress and what they are working on with the TA every couple of weeks to see how they were progressing as well as what they are working on currently. I would also provide any struggles that they were having that we had noticed.
I had 1 student who had extra assistance from a TA once a day for 30 minutes by himself. I would provide the information that I had noticed about him in the class and discuss his progress with the agencies that were developing different ideas to work with him.
