Criteria:

Analyse and appropriately use assessment information that has been gathered formally and informally

Key Indicators:

i. Analyse assessment information to identify progress and ongoing learning needs of ākonga


ii. Use assessment information to give regular and ongoing feedback to guide and support
further learning

In Writing we have we have a tracking sheet of LI's which are specific to each child. We direct the students to these so they are aware of what they are working on. I also provide verbal feedback whilst they are working so they are able to work on the skill at the time.

iii. Analyse assessment information to reflect on and evaluate the effectiveness of the teaching

We meet twice a term where we discuss our students and identify students who are struggling with a specific piece of learning. We then brainstorm different teaching strategies that we can try for these students.

Targets

iv. Communicate assessment and achievement information to relevant members of the
learning community

I have 3 ESOL students in my homeroom as well as 1 student who is on SENCO. I provide data and talk with our SENCO leader at our school to get them assistance as well as discussing their progress.

v. Foster involvement of whānau in the collection and use of information about the learning of ākonga

I have had meetings with parents for students 6 week reports, 6 year nets as well as teacher interviews where we have discussed any concerns or questions that the whanau about their child. I also provide information on how they are doing in the different learning areas as well as socially.
